GATE Application form 2021: Candidates can also visit the official website of GATE 2021 to fill the application form. GATE registration was yet to begin. October was the last date to fill the GATE application form without late fees. To participate in the entrance examination, candidates had to register, fill in the required personal, contact and educational details, upload the scanned documents, and also pay the required application fee.

GATE  Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech /B.E. /B. Pharma Courses: Qualification: Candidates must have 3 or 4 years Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering/Technology from any recognized university.

Appearing: Candidates appearing in their final year can also apply.

Age Limit: There is no age limit prescribed to apply.

For B.Sc. Research/B.S: Qualification: Candidates must possess 4 years Bachelor’s degree in science or Post diploma (4 years) after 12th level.

Appearing: Candidates appearing in the final year are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit: There is no age limit prescribed to apply.

For B.Arch: Qualification: Candidates possess 5 years Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in order to be eligible.

Appearing: Candidates pursuing in the final year or completed the degree are eligible.

Age Limit: There is no age limit prescribed to apply.

For M.Sc. /M.A. / MCA Courses: Qualification: Candidates must have passed Master’s degree in any branch (Mathematics/Computer Application/Science) or equivalent from any recognized University or Board.

Appearing: Candidates those appearing in the final year are also eligible to apply.

For Int. M.E. /M.Tech (Post B.Sc.): Qualification: Candidates must possess Post B.Sc Integrated Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology from any recognized University.

Appearing: Candidates pursuing final year or completed the degree are also eligible.

For Int. M.E. / M.Tech or Dual Degree (After diploma or 10+2): Qualification: Candidates must possess 5 years Integrated Master’s degree or dual degree in Engineering / Technology.

Appearing: Candidates who are in the last year of their degree course are also eligible.

For Int. M.Sc. / Int. B.S – M.S: Qualification: Candidates must have done Integrated M.Sc. or 5 years B.S. /M.S. programme in order to be eligible.

Degree Status: Candidates pursuing final year or completed the degree are eligible.

For Professional Society Examination Equivalent to B.Tech /B.E / B.Arch: Qualification: Candidates must possess B.Tech / B.E / B.Arch. or equivalent examination recognized by UPSC / MHRD / AICTE etc.

Degree Status: Candidates who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional course are eligible.

Registration Fee:

  • Mode of Payment: The Registration fee can be paid through online mode using debit card, credit card or net banking.
  • The registration fee will be non-refundable in nature.
  • Candidates applying after last date have to pay the application fee + late fee in order to get registered.

 

How to apply for GATE Exam

  • Go to the official portal
  • Register by entering your name, mobile number and email id.
  • Note the enrollment ID which will be sent to your email ID after registration.
  • Go through the declaration and then click on the ‘Get Application Form’ started.
  • Fill all the required details ie education details or personal details correctly and carefully.
  • Upload the required scanned documents like category certificate, caste certificate, photograph, signature, PWD certificate etc.
  • Scanned passport size photographs should have a width of 3.5 cm and a height of 4.5 cm in JPEG format. Maximum size should be 480 x 640 pixels and minimum size – 240 × 320 pixels.
  • The signature must be uploaded by dragging a rectangular box of 2 cm height × 7 cm width on A4 paper. The maximum size of the signature should be 160 × 560 pixels and the minimum size – 80 × 280 pixels.
  • After submission of documents, candidates have to pay the registration fee. For payment categories pay prescribed fees for different categories.
  • Now enter ‘Confirmation’ and submit the form.
  • After submitting the registration form, take a printout of the application form for further procedures.
